A few more "firsts"

My first ride on my dad's shoulders. I felt so big - it was great because I was finally bigger than Buddy & Nelly!

My 1st trip to the waterfront downtown Paducah...well at least the first time I could actually see the water. It was a beautiful night - kinda chilly for once. My rents had me wrapped up in a blanket!
And the first of many late nights at a bonfire! It finally got cool enough that mom could dress me in my PJ's, wrap my buggie up in blankets and hit 'festivist park' aka Joe & Diane's yard for my first fire along with Bryce's too! Everyone got hotdogs and s'mores - I'm still waiting for mine especially since I stayed up for that part. It was fun until I couldn't stay up any longer and passed out in my crib on rollers:)

So darn cozy!

Dad took a picture of mom and I with the Irvin Cobb Hotel in the background (to the left). I heard that was where it all went down one Saturday night in October a couple years ago - thank goodness because otherwise I wouldn't have been here for the picture:)

8 months already!!

...and the little man started crawling last week! It is amazing how quickly they learn and pick up things once they try it and actually get it...without falling! We have had a few wipeouts, like this morning when Jack was crawling in our room. He crawled to the ottoman, got on his knees and pulled himself up for a brief second and boom went down just missing Buddy's tail. Which brings me to our next topic of cheap entertainment. Jack just loves watching and chasing the dogs in his walker. The dogs have figured out ways to hide (Nelly now sleeps in our closet) or bark their way around Jack. Buddy will bark when he's been cornered. The bark leads to a cry and quick reverse. The little guy has some incredible maneuverability skills!
With Jack being so active, he hasn't seemed to have gained too much weight but has definitely gotten taller. He eats like a champ. He will eat just about anything you put in front of him especially my mango, banana & peach mix with oatmeal! I think he eats better than Gregg and I. We are working on getting more greens into that little mouth but needless to say broccoli needs some camouflaging with sweet potatoes and carrots!
As far as Gregg and I, we are good. I started back to school almost 3 weeks ago. We had our 10th day of school today. I'm pretty pooped but have been still trying to get my runs and yoga in for some sanity. Overall, I think I have a pretty good group of kiddos. You will have to check out my classroom blog to see what we have been up to (it is mrsfarmery'sclass@blogspot). Gregg is in limbo as far as jobs. He finished at Wacker last Friday and has a few prospects in the works. For now he is enjoying his time off - golfing and doing some lovely yard work:) Oh and cooking dinner the past 2 nights - it is so nice to have dinner ready when you get home! He's quite the cook.
Ok, I think I have rambled enough. Hopefully I can get a video of Jack crawling and post it soon. Thanks again to all of you that follow our blog - it makes it worth doing...besides the fact that I enjoy reminishing too! Until next time.

One of the best investments so far...

Wanna ride?

I love my wagon and carrying Nelly's Chuck it while I ride! I get so comfortable sometimes I lean to the side and rest my arm on the outside. I'm so cool:) Only bummer is that I am down to one ride a day since Grandma left. I miss her.

So stinkin cute!

Gettin' spoiled

Grandma Farmery has been here the past week taking me everywhere, whenever I want to go and I LOVE IT! We go for wagon rides in my new Flyer all the time - it's great because I can see everything and I kinda get to ride like a big kid:)

Yep, I have figured out how to see my frog friend. I got caught one night and now my bed has been lowered. Now it is like I'm in jail with all these bars blocking my view.

I wish my frog buddy could hop up into my bed then I wouldn't have to have my bed lowered. If my parents would just put me to bed with a helmet, I'd be fine to hang out right here!!
"What are you going to have?"
"I think I'll have some smashed potatoes and milk on the rocks." "You?"
"My menu is rather limited but I think I may try to sneak in some mashed cupcakes and milk with no ice!"
