Post turkey walk

...and I've got my clothespin in my mouth, again. It's a clothespin, mom's mascara or a marker that's my wing-man. They go on walks, in the bath, to breakfast, in the car...you name it, one of them is in my hand at all times. They are a perfect fit for my grip:)
It was a bit chilly this morning but mom bundled me up and stuffed me in the wagon for a nice morning walk with dad and all 5 dogs. Buddy and Nelly invited Moe, Sasha and our pseudo adopted dog, "Monroe". We named him after Marylin because of his mole on his snout :) Good dog, but also a fan of Buddy's humping club. Poor Buddy.

Happy 1st Thanksgiving Jack!

2nd annual house lighting & bourbon tasting!!

I'm loving this bling, bling!
Ooohhhh...
I'll get my own boost, thank you!

More tasting...
and more tasting. Good times and good company!

Drivin' Mr. Jack

video

30 years and 11 months old...hip, hip horray!

It has been a big month at our house. My dad turned 30 and I am 11 months old already!
Time is flying too fast:(
Dad gave me a bath while mom was in Atlanta...we had a good night together. I got to eat sweets for dinner and had an extra long bath with lots of streaking time!
I was so happy with my mom's sweaty du-rag on. She let me borrow it after our run:)

Pre- party in the garage for Gregg's 30th. The dogs, the carts and the boys = good times:)
Gregg's party was more of a toddler get together but none-the-less a good time for all!
The Birthday boy finishing up his Gobb Cake that Aunt Diane made. It was awesome - Thank you Diane!!!
Chillin in my mom's old rocking chair
Naked with my bottle in my dad's chair - it doesn't get any better than this!
Love it:)

BOO whooooo!

This facial expression tells you just how I felt through all of the parade until I got to ride on my dad's shoulders. Little over-stimmed - way too many animals running around!

TRICK OR TREAT, smell my feet, give me something good to eat, if you don't I don't care, I'll......!
So mom decked out my ride as a banana tree and I "side-rided" most of the parade...sleepy or too cool?
What is all this craziness about? (I'm having a dad (Gregg) moment...do I have to be here?)
Finally, where I want to be!!!
I knew just what to do when I saw a package addressed to me, I hopped right in and went for the cars. Thanks Gma!
Just a few of the buddies I got to parade with in Mrs. Jessica's neighborhood. Can't wait until I get to drive myself like the other monkey!
We had "Books Alive" at school on Friday. I dressed up as Hello Kitty. See my sign? This is Daidriana, a student I had last year - she a favorite:) She comes down to see me everyday to give me a hug and a note!
What a WILD but a good day! Here is my wild crew in their tamed pic. You gotta see the others. I'll post them on my classroom blog this week. (Each student was to dress up as their favorite book character and bring the book for our school parade - great costumes:)

Oktoberfestivus!

It got a little chilly as the night went on at our Festivus celebration but what a great weekend we all had!! Have I said what great neighbors we have - they're the best!
I love driving anything - the car, golf cart, 4 wheeler...
We loved the pumpkin farm so much we took dad back with us to get pumpkins!
Who dat?
The sun got in the way of a lot of our pictures:(
I'll take this one!
Yup, TEETHING!
I love knocking this gate over and then climbing all over it
Another new thing I love to do is climb...EVERYTHING!

Fall Break - so nice to be home with the little guy!

My new friends are in that bottle...teething tablets:) Poor guy has had a rough week or so. Teething and a cold.

Dad got mommy these really pretty flowers for their anniversary!
Caitlin came to watch me so they could go out to eat. My dinner wasn't as good as what they had at Cynthia's. (We had a really nice anniversary:)
P.S. I got 9 inches cut off my hair - I love it!
My buddy Brock and I went for a wagon ride at Blue Sky Winery.
"Oh, just stop taking my picture already!"
Good times.
Even though we aren't of age, we had a lot of fun ridin and then dancin with the band!
Gotta love the morning sun shinning on your face after a good wagon ride.

Giddy up wagon!

Great cool fall morning
I finally got to wear a fun hat on my wagon ride:)
I wish my mom would let me ride like this all the time.
Go PUNXSY
I got to go with my mom to a pumpkin patch. She bought these huge flower bushes that kept poking me... so I tried to pick them off . She didnt seem to like it much. The best part of our trip was sitting in the hay will all the pumpkins and beating on them!
Go Bucks! Thanks Cruz for letting me borrow your OSU gear.
Say, "Cheese!"
I love my walking buddy.
Some nice lady offered to take our picture but as you can see I was pretty busy watching her kids for her...:(

Gettin' fresh air and lovin' it!

"So dad don't you wish you could only wear a t-shirt around the house too?"

I had my first pancakes this morning on the porch. I loved the banana & wild berries in them. I even fed myself...and the dogs! It was a beautiful morning - I wish I could eat every meal on the porch! We topped off our super morning with a walk. Buddy, Nelly and Missy made the loop with us - it was great! So happy Fall is here!
Bathroom Band busted...
Yah, this is my new thing. I love to bang on the toilet seat - it makes such a cool noise. More recently I've added a new instrument to my band. It's this silver thing that I can open with my foot by pushing on this pedal. Sometimes I get too much going on at once and I close my hand in the lid and can't get it out...ouch! I think I've picked the most sanitary corner in the house. It is great!!

Gotcha!!

Just can't get enough of this little guy! Thursday Mrs. Lydia had an appointment so I stayed home with Jack and took him to his 9 month checkup. No shots this time so it was much easier on mom:) Other than having a mild fever (doc said he had a little ear infection), he's doing great. Jack weighted in at 17.5 lbs - below for his age but he is also above "average" for his height (28 inches) so the combo = a lengthy, happy little guy that eats like a horse! I can't keep up with making his food.

We had a great day playing and shopping. He just soaks up all those compliments he gets from the little old ladies at the store! Days like these make it even more temping to stay home with him all the time. Some day soon... He's such a good, happy baby!!!
I'm just a little bit in love with this guy:)

Our little man is already 9 months old!

Dad and I had a photo-shoot. I thought this one was pretty good. I look grown-up!
Check out my brows...
Owen, his mom - Jessica and mom and I at the Aldridge's house. They had us over for pizza and to watch the game. Mom and I even dressed up to support the Buckeyes and still no love:(
I loved crawling through Ross & Owen's tunnel. I screamed the whole way through. That is my new thing. I love to scream as loud as I can especially in quiet places like church. It's great to hear my own voice echo:)

Owen let me check out his swing. It fit me perfect!

Hilarious!

After dinner entertainment

video

Tis' the season...GO VOLS!

Jacks got his TN gear on for our hike at Land Between the Lakes - such a happy kid!

Dinner with Nanna, Papa and the Jordans.
First dinner on our porch this season...better late than never!
Good dinner, good company - we have the best neighbors!
Jacks new teething toy. He loves his sourdough baguette from Kirchoff's Bakery. The trick is to keep it in his hand or on his tray without Buddy or Nelly snatching it! This was Jack's entertainment while we all ate.

Loved Papa H's glasses. I couldn't get enough of them and it looks as love I like picking his nose too:) mmm...

Jack's laughing dog & Buddy

video

Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog!!

Yah, that's me...my grandma Peg hooked me up with some "biker-wagon" shades!

And my very first real bat from the Louisville Slugger factory - autographed by yours truly!

Do I smile or cry? That mouth could take my head off at any moment!!!

Hey baby, wanna ride?

...or would you like a ride in this instead? Pretty cool:)
Thanks for letting me test it out Caroline & Rodney!

A few more "firsts"

My first ride on my dad's shoulders. I felt so big - it was great because I was finally bigger than Buddy & Nelly!

My 1st trip to the waterfront downtown Paducah...well at least the first time I could actually see the water. It was a beautiful night - kinda chilly for once. My rents had me wrapped up in a blanket!
And the first of many late nights at a bonfire! It finally got cool enough that mom could dress me in my PJ's, wrap my buggie up in blankets and hit 'festivist park' aka Joe & Diane's yard for my first fire along with Bryce's too! Everyone got hotdogs and s'mores - I'm still waiting for mine especially since I stayed up for that part. It was fun until I couldn't stay up any longer and passed out in my crib on rollers:)

So darn cozy!

Dad took a picture of mom and I with the Irvin Cobb Hotel in the background (to the left). I heard that was where it all went down one Saturday night in October a couple years ago - thank goodness because otherwise I wouldn't have been here for the picture:)

8 months already!!

...and the little man started crawling last week! It is amazing how quickly they learn and pick up things once they try it and actually get it...without falling! We have had a few wipeouts, like this morning when Jack was crawling in our room. He crawled to the ottoman, got on his knees and pulled himself up for a brief second and boom went down just missing Buddy's tail. Which brings me to our next topic of cheap entertainment. Jack just loves watching and chasing the dogs in his walker. The dogs have figured out ways to hide (Nelly now sleeps in our closet) or bark their way around Jack. Buddy will bark when he's been cornered. The bark leads to a cry and quick reverse. The little guy has some incredible maneuverability skills!
With Jack being so active, he hasn't seemed to have gained too much weight but has definitely gotten taller. He eats like a champ. He will eat just about anything you put in front of him especially my mango, banana & peach mix with oatmeal! I think he eats better than Gregg and I. We are working on getting more greens into that little mouth but needless to say broccoli needs some camouflaging with sweet potatoes and carrots!
As far as Gregg and I, we are good. I started back to school almost 3 weeks ago. We had our 10th day of school today. I'm pretty pooped but have been still trying to get my runs and yoga in for some sanity. Overall, I think I have a pretty good group of kiddos. You will have to check out my classroom blog to see what we have been up to (it is mrsfarmery'sclass@blogspot). Gregg is in limbo as far as jobs. He finished at Wacker last Friday and has a few prospects in the works. For now he is enjoying his time off - golfing and doing some lovely yard work:) Oh and cooking dinner the past 2 nights - it is so nice to have dinner ready when you get home! He's quite the cook.
Ok, I think I have rambled enough. Hopefully I can get a video of Jack crawling and post it soon. Thanks again to all of you that follow our blog - it makes it worth doing...besides the fact that I enjoy reminishing too! Until next time.

One of the best investments so far...

Wanna ride?

I love my wagon and carrying Nelly's Chuck it while I ride! I get so comfortable sometimes I lean to the side and rest my arm on the outside. I'm so cool:) Only bummer is that I am down to one ride a day since Grandma left. I miss her.

Grandma and I on our photo shoot with my wagon!

So stinkin cute!

Gettin' spoiled

Grandma Farmery has been here the past week taking me everywhere, whenever I want to go and I LOVE IT! We go for wagon rides in my new Flyer all the time - it's great because I can see everything and I kinda get to ride like a big kid:)

Yep, I have figured out how to see my frog friend. I got caught one night and now my bed has been lowered. Now it is like I'm in jail with all these bars blocking my view.

I wish my frog buddy could hop up into my bed then I wouldn't have to have my bed lowered. If my parents would just put me to bed with a helmet, I'd be fine to hang out right here!!
"What are you going to have?"
"I think I'll have some smashed potatoes and milk on the rocks." "You?"
"My menu is rather limited but I think I may try to sneak in some mashed cupcakes and milk with no ice!"

Aunt Kelly & Cuz Cruz's visit to Paducah

We had such a good time. I loved having someone my size to play with. Cruz was hard to keep up with but I did pretty good when I was in my walker. Cruz quickly learned to lean away and put his hand out when he saw me coming!
This is a photo of us at the park. It was hot, especially after our mom's took us on way too long of a walk in steamy, hot weather - they are crazy sometimes!!
I even shared my toys pretty good. Cruz liked to take my toys and walk around the house with them, drop them off in odd places - like the kitchen, my mom's closet, my closet and the bathroom? I couldn't quite figure it out. Either way, he showed me some new things to do and some new octanes that I can work on reaching with my voice...whoa!!!
Aunt Kelly & Cuz Cruz at the park. Cruz did a really good job climbing the steps, walking over the bridges and sliding down the slide! I just watched and "walked" around with my mom and people watched, people watching me:)
We had a pool party in my little pool. Cruz was more infatuated with Nelly's chuck-it than the pool. Nelly made a new friend while Cruz was here - between his leftovers and ball throwing skill, Nelly will be sad to see him leave.

Roller Derby on Grandma & Grandpa Farmery's drive way!

video
Watch out....here I come and I can't stop!!!
My mom & dad didn't put any shoes on me so I scuffed up my toes. The good thing about it was that I got a couple new pairs of shoes out of it. I think they felt pretty bad:(

Jack's 1st visit to PA!!

All four generations at Great Grandma Cressley's house!

Aren't we a cute couple

I finally got to meet Great Uncle Gene. I hear all about him when my mom gives me a pseudo bath:) He was pretty cool!

I helped Aunt Carey with her work. I'm becoming quite the computer geek. Oh, and Cuz -Moses...we really got a long well too - he's just about my size!

Warmin up my dad's chair.

My buddy Brice is quickly catching up with me

My cheap entertainment - watching my brother and sister wrestle. It's great!

Happy Father's Day Dad... I think we'll log in a lot of time in your chair:)

Jack is 6 months old!!

Jack had his 6 month check up today. He weighed in at 15 lbs and measured the same length...yah, someone mis-measured last time:( Darn it, we thought he may get that surprise height gene! His head, of course grew also - 17 1/8 inches. We have got to stop telling him how cute he is...poor guy doesn't have a chance. He has already out grown 3 of his hats! Doc said he is lookin good. Jack was pretty busy talking and smiling at the nurse and doctor - so much that he did not realize what came next...shots. He definitely cried more today - all the way down the hall until we got into another room where I could nurse him. Then he passed out while I shopped for some little people food for him. I just finished cooking up his first batch of sweet potatoes and carrots. Who would have thought that 2 big sweet potatoes would make so much baby food - it filled the blender. Lots to freeze and store! We'll mix the potatoes with his cereal for the next 4 days then we'll try the carrots out. He loves to eat off a spoon. The only problem is is that you can spoon fast enough - he's huffin to let you know he wants more and more fast. Too bad his weight doesn't show how much he eats and how much he likes to eat. He is a little below average but I have a feeling that as soon as we start food he'll start to get some meat on his bones:)
At home, Jack is loving his bouncy seat, jumper and little walking chair (for lack of a better name). He is sitting up...well for a little while until he crashes when he's reaching for something that he usually ends up pushing farther away - poor guy! He has done the "army" crawl in his crib a few times but I can't seem to get him to do it on the floor? there is something about getting to one of those corners in his crib to sleep. Suppose it's cozier! I should rap it up - he is just so much fun at this stage - I could keep writing, writing and writing... We'll check in again soon!

P.S We celebrated Jack's half birthday yesterday with ice cream and french fries. Too bad the birthday boy passed out in the middle of the celebration:(
